About Stephen
Stephen is a qualified and experienced acupuncturist practicing in both Brighton and London. He has worked both privately and within the NHS since 1995 and sees people with a wide range of conditions at all stages of life.
Stephen trained in the theory and practice of Five Element Acupuncture for three years at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa. He subsequently undertook further training with the founder of that college, the late Professor JR Worsley aa well as post graduate study at the Integrated College of Chinese Medicine.
In addition to running a full time practice in Brighton and London Stephen was for many years a lecturer and clinic tutor at the School of Five Element Acupuncture in London. He has also worked with people living with HIV at the Globe Centre in East London and has held a supervisory role in a project at the Maudsley Hospital treating depression in the over 60’s.
The form of acupuncture Stephen practices looks at working with the whole person rather than treating symptoms. He has a special interest in dietary and digestive issues as well as all aspects of mental health.
“Stephen is friendly, professional with evident expertise and inspires confidence in his treatment. He has significantly reduced the frequency and severity of my migraines, and increased my energy levels. Friends that have gone to him also speak highly of his manner and treatments.”
